Any quote provided by JS Plumbing & Bathrooms is only valid for 14 days (from date of quote) once expired a new quote will be submitted.
Upon written confirmation and receipt of the deposit from the client your booking in confirmed. No booking is confirmed unless deposit is received, unless stated otherwise by JS Plumbing & Bathrooms.Prices quoted will remain as agreed unless additional work or changes to materials are requested by the client. Please note if the client changes the project in any way additional fees may be requested and enforced.
For projects £500 and under a deposit of up to a £100 may be requested by a JS Plumbing & Bathroom representative and would be due prior to work commencing.
For projects £1000+ a deposit of up to 50% may be requested and would be due prior to work commencing.
Interest shall accrue at the rate of 4% above the base rate from time to time of National Westminster Bank plc on any amount overdue from the date payment fell due until the date payment is made in full.
JS Plumbing & Bathrooms reserve the right to suspend services if payment is not received when agreed.
There is an administration charge of £25.00 for the late payment of any invoice. Late payment means more than 5 days after the date of the invoice.
JS Plumbing & Bathrooms do not accept payment by cheque.
Payments accepted are cash or bank transfer only.
In the case of total cancellation of a project (over £1000) by the client the deposit taken will not be returned, any upfront charges relating to the job are the liability of the customer and will be enforced.
For projects (Under £500) we require at least 24 hours’ notice of a cancelled appointment. If this is not given, a charge may be requested from the client depending on the length of time allocated for carrying out the service.
If, after the projected is completed, the Client is not wholly satisfied with the works, then the Client shall give notice in writing within 7 days of completion and allow JS Plumbing & Bathrooms to carry out correctional works if appropriate. The Client accepts that if they fail to notify us within the time frame then JS Plumbing & Bathrooms shall not be liable in respect of any defects in the works carried out.
Guarantees offered are for labour only, in respect of faulty workmanship for 3 months from the date of completion with the manufacturer’s warranty in force.
The guarantee will become null and void if the work carried out is; Subject to misuse or negligence or is repaired, modified or tampered with by anyone other than a JS Plumbing & Bathrooms employee.
JS Plumbing & Bathrooms will accept no liability for, or guarantee, suitability, materials supplied by the Client and will accept no liability for any consequential damage or fault.
JS Plumbing & Bathrooms will not guarantee any work undertaken on instruction from the Client and against the written or verbal advice of the JS Plumbing staff member. Work is guaranteed only in respect of work directly undertaken by JS Plumbing & Bathrooms where payment in full has been made.
Where JS Plumbing & Bathroom agrees to carry out works on installations of an inferior quality or over 5 years old at that date, no warranty is given in respect of such works and we accept no liability in respect of the effectiveness of such works or otherwise.
Guarantee Exclusions are as follows; Systems or structures which were not initially installed or fitted by a suitably qualified workman or fitted in an unprofessional manner. Any recall arising from circumstances or factors known to the Client but not notified or disclosed to the Contractor prior to works being undertaken.
Removal of waste materials
Unless agreed in writing between the parties, the Client will be responsible for the removal from site all waste materials resulting from the work undertaken by JS Plumbing & Bathrooms.
These conditions shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales whose courts shall have sole jurisdiction over all matters arising herein.
In line with GDPR regulations brought in on 25/05/2018 we will process all data in a transparent manner. We also adhere to the key principles of the GDPR regulations in that the data we collect is for a specific purpose and will only be used for that purpose. Customer data will be held for 36 months before deletion, unless requested otherwise. We also request specific consent from our customer before any details are obtained.
